
On March 1st, 2014 I attended the Planes of Fame, Chino, CA's Living History Event - Long Range Bomber Escorts. The event covered the history and activities of bomber escorts in World War Two. The speakers included; Speaker Captain Wayne L. Coleman, 82nd Squadron, 78th Fighter Group he shot down three Fw190s in a single mission and later an Me262 jet. Speaker 2nd Lt. (and now Doctor) Raymond P. Biel Copilot with the 509th Composite Group, Flew in the B-29 ‘Full House’ it carried out weather reconnaissance over the targeted cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Kevin Thompson speaker, moderator and aviation Historian.
